ABOUT PATRICK CORFE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS
I have 40 years of involvement in the landscape. My practice offers a full range of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Design services. As principal landscape architect, Patrick is a fully registered member of the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects. (http://www.nzila.co.nz/)
Our Auckland-based consultancy is involved in a wide range of projects throughout the greater Auckland area and around the country. We work to provide a high level of attention to our client’s vision for their project and, as a small consultancy, are happy to work as part of multi disciplinary team to achieve our client’s goals.
PLANNING & MASTER PLANNING
With this category we have included Visual and Landscape Assessments, peer review, resource consent applications and masterplanning for development. Environmental projects have involved design, consultation, reports, preparation and presentation to hearings and the Environmental Court.
URBAN DESIGN & CIVIC SPACES
PCLA specialise in both rural and urban development with an emphasis in design for subdivision, parks, streetscapes, plazas with private and civic spaces. This includes working alongside applicants and consent teams and community groups over a range of landscape scales.
From preliminary site planning to complete design development PCLA have a folio of major educational landscapes. This includes complete new campus design or expansion of existing established colleges for both private and public learning institutions.
A field of enduring interest to me is the long term planning for cemeteries and memorial parks. Input ranges from complete new Masterplan development through to expansion and ongoing commemorative landscapes.
RESIDENTIAL COASTAL & RURAL
I have a special affinity for larger country lifestyle and costal landscapes. PCLA’s folio covers a range of well crafted rural properties that continue to be a fundamental aspect of my practices creative input.
